Hannah Toepp is an artist who works with experimental darkroom techniques, pinhole cameras, fibers, installation, and ceramics. She received her BFA from Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, IN in 2022 and her MFA from Indiana University, Bloomington in 2026.

Hannah loves experimentation and works best when she is working on multiple projects in multiple mediums as she sees the benefits of mediums speaking to each other and informing her work as a whole. Her work focuses on themes of mental health (specifically anxiety disorder and obsessive compulsive disorder) and healing through art processes. Most recently, she has been making her own pinhole cameras to use when she is anxious or overwhelmed and captures her surroundings as abstractions. She then turns these moments of calming down into plush soft sculptures that mimic pillows or stuffed animals that are held for comfort.

Her work has been in 20+ shows in 10 different states. Her installation, Light Seeker, was at the Tangent Gallery, John Waldron Arts Center, and Grunwald Gallery of Art in Bloomington, IN. Light Seeker is currently at the Sheldon, in St. Louis Missouri.
